Words : An Elevator Poem
silently we ride
in the elevator to the lobby
we've taken the coming of the day so differently
top coat and scarf,
knit cap and creased brow
t-shirt and jeans,
high-tops and optimism
what troubles you, I wonder,
you wear your youth so thoughtlessly
I'm pretty sure I'm old enough to be your father
It's 45 degrees and sunny, with an expected high of 57!
My iPhone says so. Right here. See?
Everything's going to be fine.
Have a good one.
