Tour : Venues

Last night we started our two-week engagement of Memphis in Chicago in what Mike Nichols called "a big, sloppy, white barn," The Cadilac Palace. That was when he came back to check on the Spamalot tour in April of 2006.

Last night was a lesson in context. The Palace is, in fact, "a big, sloppy, white barn" only when you've been tech-ing and performing at The Colonial in Boston, my favorite theatre in the country. But when you've just been performing in big road houses in Memphis, Houston, Tulsa, OKC, and Nashville... it's actually quite the lovely little house to play.

Should I call Mike?
