Gurr News : Little Dancer Industry Reading

Christopher Gurr joins Kate Baldwin, Robert Lindsay, Karen Ziemba, Dee Hoty, and New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck in a week-long rehearsal process for a New York City industry reading of Little Dancer, by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

The invite-only presentation will happen on Friday, June 8, 2018.

The reading marks a reunion for much of the creative team behind the show’s 2014 world premiere in Washington DC.

The reading will also feature Kyle Harris, Scarlett Strallen, and Sami Bray, Polly Baird, Sissy Bell, Lauren Blackman, Jim Borstelmann, Nina Goldman, Megan Masako Haley, Heather Hill, Sean Hingston, Jolina Javier, Barbara Marineau, Olivia Puckett, Arbender Robinson, and Eric Santagata.

Anita Waxman and Rodney Rigby produce. 

Little Dancer is scheduled for a West Coast premiere March 2019 in Seattle.


Christopher Gurr is an American theatre artist and educator known for playing a wide range of roles on Broadway and across the U.S. as well as the more readily accessible reaches of Canada.

Native Southerner, Midwest educated, with chapters in Northern California and southern Appalachia he currently makes his home in New York City.
