Amazing Grace, A New Musical
NYC Reading
CRC Productions
About the Work:
Set in the mid-18th Century, Amazing Grace takes John Newton from ne'er-do-well heir of a thriving English slave trade concern to fervent abolitionist and composer of the western world's most beloved hymn.
I played Billingsley (hard nosed captain of HMS Harwich), Monsieur Clow (French henchman to an African slave trader off the coast of Sierra Leone). Oh, yes. And a very contented baker in the English seaside town of Chatham.
Presented by Carolyn Rossi Copeland.
